How will you become certified?
To become certified as a professional home energy rater, you must successfully complete this training course, pass the RESNET national rater exam and complete three (3) probationary ratings. Please see ARN Services to lear more about what is required for these "probationary" ratings. Read the sections under "Certified Home Energy Raters". Doing so, you will be able to produce energy rating reports that will help homebuyers and homeowners qualify for energy rebates and a variety of private and government loan programs. Certification as a Home Energy Rater is a National certification. It is accepted (along with a joint certification as a BPI Building Analyst) as the Kansas Energy Auditor Certification necessary for auditors wishing to participate in the new 'Efficiency Kansas' weatherization programs, loans and rebates.
