How quickly should I take my field test?
The field test is used to validate your ability to correctly use the tools and equipment, to accurately interpret the results, and to make appropriate recommendations according to BPI Standards. It is strongly recommended that you spend some time learning the tools and equipment and ensuring you fully understand how to interpret the results you are getting prior to attempting the field test. Accurate Rater Network allows BPI students time outside of the class in our HVAC lab area to gain the level of comfort required. While it is a good idea to schedule both sessions now (to get your preferred dates) you may want to give yourself adequate time for practice between the training / written exam and the field test.
Field test is off-site. You are responsible for providing transportation to the field test site. Spaces are limited. Our staff will call you to set time and date. Spaces are filled on a first-come-first-served basis. Therefore, if the listed Field Test date is full, another date may be offered.
